About Dr. Apoorva Sharma

I am a dentist who writes. And I write because most patients leave with a prescription but not an understanding.

Mind Your Molar began as a question — why does so much fear surround something so preventable? It became a mission to change that, one honest conversation at a time.

My patients were not careless. They were simply never told enough.

I graduated from Manipal College of Dental Sciences in 2018 with a BDS and a head full of clinical knowledge. What I was not prepared for was sitting across from a patient who was nodding along to things they did not actually understand.

It happened every single day. And it bothered me every single day. Patients are not difficult. Most of the time they simply never had anyone explain things in a way that made sense. So they guessed. They delayed. They avoided. And by the time they came back, a small problem had quietly become a large one.

Around the same time I started writing — first for Manipal Hospitals, then for Apollo, and then for a growing list of healthcare institutions. Two years of medical content writing taught me something important. Good health content does not just inform. It reassures. It changes the way a person feels about walking into a clinic. And that realisation made everything click. There was no honest middle ground between clinical and commercial dental content. So I decided to build one.

"The information existed. The will existed. The bridge between dentist and patient just did not."

A maternity break that became a mission.

Being blessed with a baby gave me something I had never had before — time to think. Time to step back from the chair and ask myself what I actually wanted to build. And the answer that kept coming back was this: something that outlasts the appointment.

That is when MindYourMolars took shape. Not as a side project but as a real platform. A place where any patient, anywhere in India, could find honest, clear, clinically accurate guidance about their oral health — without needing to sit in front of a dentist to get it.

And then I ran into a different problem. When I tried to explain everything properly to one patient, I would spend so long that I could only see five or six patients in a day. That is not sustainable for any dentist. And it is not fair to the patients waiting outside.

"I could not give every patient 20 minutes. So I started designing materials that could do the explaining for me."

DocPrints was not a business idea. It was a very real problem.

So I started designing and writing patient education materials that could do the explaining for me. Hand a patient the right sheet before they sit in the chair and suddenly you are not starting from zero. They already know what scaling is. They already understand why the retainer matters. They come in informed and they leave with clarity.

That is how DocPrints was born. Clinically written, professionally designed handouts that every dental clinic in India can use without spending hours creating from scratch. Because dentists do not lack care. They lack time. And DocPrints gives a little of that time back.

Whether you are a patient trying to make sense of a diagnosis, a parent worried about your child's teeth, or a dentist looking for better ways to communicate with your patients — I have built something here for you.

"Dentists do not lack care. They lack time. DocPrints gives a little of that time back — and every patient it reaches is one more person who leaves the clinic actually understanding their own health."
